Rap sheet – in the sphere of Criminal Law, this term refers to the criminal record of a person.

Rap sheet is a listing with the history and recorded details of his/her previous accusations, crimes or arrests. In fact, the provisions about the content of rap sheet vary in the different legal systems. Somewhere it may include information about previous arrests, or road fines. Somewhere it may list information about any present convictions only, etc. Standard information relates to the personal details of the person. Employers require criminal records when they want to get information about the trustiness and the reliability of an applicant for the job position. Also, most governmental job positions require a clean criminal record.
