Ravisher – the term is used in the sphere of Criminal Law. The term comes from the verb “ravish” – to perform a sexual assault or to kidnap a woman, and basically describes the figure of a rapist. This is a crime which receives serious punishment and jail sentence. Kidnapping is a serious crime and therefore it receives serious punishment by the Law. Usually, this is a long jail sentence. As well the rape is seriously punished in all jurisdictions.
Example: “The ravisher was found guilty and received twenty years jail sentence for the rape of a young woman last year in the city park”.
