Real injury – in practice, this term applies in the area of Tort Law. It details these non-material damages, that affect the honor or dignity. For example, if somebody slaps you in a public place in front of your colleagues, then real injury will occur. If this person also names you with negative wording (slur or defamation), then a verbal injury will occur as well. In terms of Tort Law, people use to seek in courts monetary compensation for real or verbal injuries. This is because the honor and dignity of person could be a subject of damage. And the injured may pursue compensation.
