REMO – this is the abbreviation for “reciprocal enforcement of maintenance orders” and also the name of the international system of recognition, registration and enforcement of child and family support orders.Initially established in England in the past, the international REMO system nowadays involves many other countries. In the USA, the REMO system is known as UIFSA or URESA.

These are exchanged between countries which have agreed, among themselves, to give legal force to each other’s maintenance orders.
